When Hanlon Windows brought me in, they were very clear they did not want another stiff, overproduced testimonial where every word is scripted and marketing-approved. Kye had done those before for big brands, where you are counting how many times you are allowed to say a product name and worrying more about word counts than what you actually think.
Hanlons wanted something builders and architects would actually care about - a real story about how a supplier makes their life easier, helps them navigate constantly changing energy ratings and regulations, and still delivers beautiful results on site.
So instead of forcing a script, we used my Content to Clients framework selectively, shaping the conversation around longevity, trust, specific projects and problem solving, so Kye could talk in his own words while I quietly guided the structure behind the scenes.
The end result is a testimonial that feels more like a genuine conversation between a builder and his long term supplier, and less like an ad - which is exactly what Hanlons wanted
